Hi, I’m Alaina! I help you decide what frames fit your face, what makes you feel your best, and the right lens choice for your prescription and lifestyle... a.k.a. your Optician!
Developing a love for all things eyeglasses early on, I grew up in Western NY and got my start in the Optical industry after graduating high school. After spending too many years in snowy NY, my husband, Alex, and I relocated to Nashville with our two rescue dogs Lilly and Stella.
Outside the office, you can find me snuggling our dogs, hitting the local Crossfit gym, or enjoying a craft cocktail with my husband and friends!
J.D. is an optician at Look East, and his job is to help you find the optimal frame and lens combo for your lifestyle. He especially loves to help patients find the most stylish option without sacrificing comfort or optics. For J.D., eye care is a family business; both his father and uncle are optometrists, so he's continuing the eye care tradition here in Nashville.
J.D. and his wife, Kathryn, moved to Nashville after graduating from Appalachian State University in 2018. In his free time, he enjoys reading sci-fi novels and chilling with his rescue dog, Liliana.
Kelsie was raised in Danville, PA and graduated from the Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biobehavioral Health. She moved to Nashville after completing a postgraduate fellowship in Baltimore. While she has moved around the country some since, she considers Music City her home and returned to find her place at Look East. Kelsie has spent the past 11 years working in clinical ophthalmology with areas of concentration in Pediatrics and Neurology. She has extensive experience as a technician, assisting with patient examinations, treatments and contact lens fittings.
Kelsie lives in the Germantown neighborhood with her favorite Nashville rescue dog, Nittany. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in nature (with Nittany), traveling, rock climbing, sewing and trying to stay (adequately) hip in this everchanging city.
Front Desk / Admin
As the front desk receptionist at Look East, Drea is the first of many friendly faces you will encounter at your office visit!
Drea just moved to Nashville from Seattle where she was the Casting Director for Seattle's beloved holiday parade, Snowflake Lane, and the Marketing Director for the award-winning, critically-acclaimed documentary film, Becoming Marilyn Monroe! Like so many others, she settled on moving to Nashville in order to pursue her own career as a singer-songwriter.
If you're out and about after your appointment, you have a good chance of seeing Drea performing all around town.
